Day 1 – Mar 08 – Monday: Depart JFK, NY to Accra, Ghana |
 | Day 2 – Mar 09- Tuesday:
Arrive in Accra, Ghana where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. You will Begin the tour of Accra, the capital city, with a visit to the National Museum. Then proceed to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum dedicated to the memory of Ghana’s first president. Next on your list is Dr. W.E.B DuBois Center for Pan Africa Culture. You will conclude the day at the Arts and Crafts Bazaar where you can shop for souvenirs. Overnight in Accra at Golden Tulip hotel or similar

Day 3 – Mar 10- Wednesday:
Depart Accra for Kumasi with visit to Bonwire, where the famous Kente cloth is woven. Proceed to the craft villages of Ntonso and Ahwiaa known for the Adinkra Cloth and woodcarvings respectively. You can hand stamp your own Adinkra fabric. Overnight in Kumasi at Golden Tulip hotel or similar

Day 4 – Mar 11- Thursday:
Today you will experience Kumasi, the seat of the Ashanti King. Visit Manhyia Palace where you will see the royal stool comparable to a throne, wax images of Ashanti kings and queen mothers. Proceed to King Prempeh II museum where you will learn about the formidable army that Nana Yaa Asantewaa, the Queen mother, led to war. Conclude the day at the site of the Okomfo Anokye sword, a Ripley’s believe it or not! Overnight in Kumasi at Golden Tulip hotel or similar

Day 5 – Mar 12- Friday:
Today you will depart Kumasi for Elmina. Upon Arrival you will visit the Elmina Castle which was built by the Portuguese in 1482. You will be guided through the dungeons where captured Africans were held; the auction block, and the Door of No Return.Overnight in Elmina, Coconut Grove Resort or similar • Meal plan: Breakfast & Lunch

Day 6 – Mar 13- Saturday:
This morning you will depart for Kakum National Park where you will have the opportunity to experience the canopy walk way, the only one of its kind in Africa, for a bird’s eye view of the forest. Alternatively, you may also choose the trails to learn about the cultural and medicinal uses of plants in the forest. Then enjoy lunch. Now you’re ready to proceed to the Cape Coast castle for a guided tour.Overnight in Elmina, Coconut Grove Resort or similar

Day 7 – Mar 14- Sunday:
This morning you will attend a church service with Ghanaian Christians. Following the fellowship you will proceed to Accra. Time permitting you will meet church leaders Overnight in Accra at Golden Tulip hotel or similar

Day 8 – Mar 15- Monday:
Today is your final day in Ghana; you will be transferred to the airport for departure.

Terms and Conditions
A $350 deposit is required with a completed reservation form and Certificate of Ordination Final payment is due on December 31, 2009
Cancellation Penalties
Up to 100 days before the departure date - $150 penalty
Up to 67 days before the departure date - $200 penalty
66 days before the departure date – 100% cancellation penalty – no refund
We highly recommend travel insurance due to strict airline, hotel, and other vendor penalties
