This congregational Israel tour will take you to the most significant biblical and archaeological sites in the Holy Land. Packed with lots of amazing historical and biblical sites and features, you’ll visit such places as: Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Western Wall, Garden Tomb, Yad Vashem, Israel Museum and much more.

Day 1 – TUESDAY, MAY 31, 2016

DAY 2 – WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 2016

ARRIVAL / JAFFA / NETANYA

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion airport you will be met and assisted by a Coral Travel & Tours representative at the airport. Meet your guide and drive to Jaffa for a walking tour of the old city. Jaffa, known in the bible as Joppa is considered the world’s oldest port and the place where the prophet Jonah set sail for Tarshish. Jaffa is also associated with the deeds of the Apostle Peter. Drive along the Sharon Plane to Netanya. In the afternoon you will have an opportunity to swim in the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Netanya.


DAY 3 – THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 2016

CAESAREA / MEGIDDO / SEA OF GALILEE

After breakfast, drive to Caesarea, the seat of the Roman Procurator of Judea at the time of the Christ, and the site where Peter converted the centurion Cornelius. This fortified harbor city was built 2000 years ago by King Herod the Great. View the ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader times. Explore the Roman Theater and the Aqueducts. A drive up to Mt. Carmel will bring us to the site where Elijah challenged and defeated the 450 prophets of Baal. Continue to Megiddo, the Fortress City of King Solomon, later built again by King Ahab. The books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we study about the final Battle of Armageddon. Drive through Nazareth and Cana to the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight: Guest House near the Sea of Galilee.


DAY 4 – FRIDAY, JUNE 3, 2016

SEA OF GALILEE

This morning ascend (by motor-coach) Mt. Arbel for a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee. Descend to the Valley of Dove (hike). Visit Capernaum, the town Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. Capernaum is the place where Jesus recruited the first of His disciples (Matthew 4:13, Luke 4:31-37, Matthew 8:14- 17, Mark 2:1-12, Matthew 8:5-13, Mark 5:21-43, Matthew 11:23-24). Visit the excavation of the ancient synagogue and the house of Peter. Continue on to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication. Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Then, visit Kibbutz Ginsosar to see the ancient boat, believed to be from Jesus’ time. Visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-12). Dinner and Overnight: Guest House near the Sea of Galilee.


DAY 5 – SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2016

TEL DAN / CAESAREA PHILIPPI / GOLAN HEIGHTS

After breakfast drive to Tel Dan, an important biblical city and a breathtaking Nature Reserve. The bible mentions the city a few times: “From Dan to Beer Sheba”. Enjoy kayaking on the Jordan River. Continue to the Banias, site of the ancient Caesarea Philippe. It is here that Peter made his confession of faith in Jesus (Matthew 16:13). Hike to the waterfall. Continue on for a panoramic view of the Golan Heights from Mt. Bental. Dinner and oovernight: Guest House near the Sea of Galilee.


DAY 6 – SUNDAY, JUNE 5, 2016

GIDEON SPRINGS / BEERSHEBA / TEL ARAD / BEDOUIN TENT

After breakfast leave Tiberias and drive to Ein Harod – Gideon’s Spring. Continue to Beersheba and walk the water cistern and Abraham’s Well. Drive to Arad and visit Tel Arad. Continue along the road towards the Dead Sea. This drive is enhanced by the stunning canyons and clefts that unfold on every side. End your day at Kfar Hanokdim and before dinner you will have the opportunity to ride a camel. Dinner and overnight: Kfar Hanokdim (Bedouin tent).


DAY 7 – MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2016

MASADA / EN GEDI / QUMRAN

After breakfast drive to Masada. Hike up the Roman Siege Ramp. Masada is the site of the most dramatic act in Jewish History. Explore the ancient excavation of Herod’s Palaces, the bathhouse, the storerooms, the ramp, and the oldest Synagogue in the world. Enjoy the swim at the Dead Sea. Travel along the shores of the Dead Sea to Ein Gedi, an Oasis on the Dead Sea shore. Near the 200-meter-high waterfall is a cave where David had his famous meeting with King Saul. (First Samuel 24: 1-23). The walk around the reservation confirms that Ein Gedi is one of the most beautiful reservations in the world. Continue to Qumran, where the 2000-years-old Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Stop at Kaser El Yehud at the Jordan River with an opportunity to be baptized (optional). Drive to Jerusalem past Jericho, believed to be the world’s oldest walled city. This was the first city taken by Joshua when the Hebrews returned from Egypt – ‘and the walls fell down’ – and was also the site of the Mount of Temptation. Enter the city of Jerusalem as a pilgrim and view the city from Mt. Scopus. Dinner and overnight: Guest House in Jerusalem.


DAY 8 – TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2016

JERUSALEM

Start the day with a visit to the Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book (where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls and Bar Kokhva letters are exhibited) and the Holy Land Model. Ascend the Mount of Olives (Matthew 24:3, Luke 21:37) for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday Way to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46, Luke 22:39-45, Mark 14:32-42) where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested. Cross the Kidron Valley and walk along the “last way” to Mt. Zion. Visit the City of David, Hezekia’s Tunnel and the Pool of Salome. Walk through the Aqueduct/Tunnel back to the Southern Wall. Participate in an archeological dig at Emek Tzurim in the City of David. Dinner and overnight: Guest House in Jerusalem.


DAY 9 – WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2016

HERODIAN / ELLA VALLEY / LACHISH / JERUSALEM

After breakfast drive out of Jerusalem and visit Herodian. Drive past Bet Shemesh to the Ella Valley, the site of the battle of David and Goliath. Hike to the city of Shareim. Continue to Lachish. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight: Guest House in Jerusalem.


DAY 10 – THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 2016

JERUSALEM

This morning ascend Mt. Moriah (Luke 2:46-48, John, 8:1-11, Mark 13:1-2, Matthew 27:51). Walk up to the Temple place and view the Dome of the Rock and the El Aqsa mosque. Visit the Church of St. Anne and see the Pools of Bethesda. Continue on to the Western Wall Tunnel. On the western side of the city, visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum and the Hertzel Museum. Dinner and overnight: Guest House in Jerusalem.


DAY 11 – FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 2016

JERUSALEM

Your first stop today will be the Upper Room (Matthew 26: 17-25). At Mount Zion visit the house of the high priest Caiphas. Visit the Church of Peter in Gallicantu (Matthew 26:31-35). This is the place where Peter denied the Lord three times. End the day at Golgotha and the Garden Tomb. Late check out from the hotel. Farewell dinner. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA.

TEL AVIV – USA

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA. Arrive the same day.

A deposit of $350.00 is required with each reservation to guarantee booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure. All checks should be made payable to Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd.

Tour Arrangements

Air –  Air arrangements are included in most group tours. Air is available to individual travelers upon request.

Land –  All packages including overnight hotel stays are quoted based upon double occupancy sharing a twin or double room with private facilities. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. does not arrange sharing for individual travelers. Single rooms are available at additional cost. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. reserves the right to substitute hotels based upon availability when necessary. Sightseeing and entrance fees are��included as per itinerary. Individual passengers and passengers arriving independently from a scheduled group are responsible for their own transfers.

  • From 45 days prior to departure date and on – full cancellation fee (100%)

Passports/Visa

You will be required to provide Coral Travel & Tours with a copy of your passport with final payment. Please Note: The State of Israel requires that your passport have an expiration date not less than 6 months after your date of arrival in Israel. There is no visa requirement for citizens of the United States traveling to Israel. Other nationals should contact their consulate for visa information. For other destinations please contact Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. Coral Travel & Tours does NOT process visa applications. No inoculations are currently required for travel to Israel. Please contact public health authorities for further information or other destinations.

Fuel Surcharge

Please note fuel surcharges are set by the airline and Coral Travel & Tours has no control over nor receives advance notice of changes. Due to fluctuating global oil prices, the fee may change. The airline will only guarantee the fee at time of ticketing. If the airline imposes an increase, the difference will be the responsibility of each traveler and will be collected prior to departure.

Baggage

Suitcases: 1 per person, not to exceed 50 lbs. for 1 bag. Each can measure up to 62 linear inches (length + height + width). Carry On Luggage: 1 per person, not to exceed 11 lbs. Each can measure up to 45 linear inches (length + height + width).

Deviations

Any change in the basic program will result in the charge of $150 per change per person plus any additional charges that may apply for revised air or land arrangements.
