Led by Pastors Alejandro Anchondo and Nathan Mrotzek, this Calvary Chapel Israel Tour departs for Israel February 26th and returns home March 6, 2024. Explore many of the places you’ve read about in Scripture such as: Jaffa, Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Sea of Galilee, Megiddo, Bet She’an, the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Western Wall, along with other historical and cultural sites like Yad Vashem, and the Israel Museum. During this amazing spiritual adventure in the Holy Land, you will discover the very roots of your Christian faith.

Flight from USA to Tel-Aviv.

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion airport a Coral Travel & Tours representative will greet and assist you. You will also meet your guide and driver and head to Jaffa. Jaffa is known in the bible as Joppa and is considered the world’s oldest port and the place where the prophet Jonah set sail for Tarshish. Visit the House of Simon the Tanner, & walk through Jaffa’s reconstructed Old Quarter. Drive to your hotel in Herzeliya. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Herzeliya.

After your Israeli breakfast drive along the Sharon plain to Caesarea. Caesarea was the seat of the Roman Procurator of Judea in the time of Christ and the place Peter converted the centurion Cornelius (Acts 10:24). Explore the Roman theater and the aqueduct and view the ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader times. Continue to Mt. Carmel, to the “Mukhraka,” the site where Elijah challenged and defeated the 450 prophets of Baal (King 18:20). Continue to Megiddo, the fortress city of King Solomon, later built upon by King Ahab. The books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we study the final Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16: 14-19)while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tiberias.

The day starts with a drive to the Mt. of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Drive along the Hula Valley to Tel Dan & visit the remains of the city. Continue on to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made his confession of faith to Jesus. Via a ride through the Golan Heights we return to the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the area where Jesus spent his years of ministry. See the ruins of Capernaum, the town where Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient synagogue, in which he may have preached, & the house of Peter. After a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and a visit the “Jesus Boat” in Kibbutz Ginosar, visit Tabgha where the Miracle of the multiplication of the loaves of bread & fish took place. Drive to Tiberias. Dinner & overnight: Hotel in Tiberias.

Start the day at Yardenit, the Baptismal Center site on the Jordan River where you will have an opportunity to be baptized (optional). Afterward, depart the Sea of Galilee and drive to  Bet She’an. Recent excavations have unveiled the impressive ruins of the country’s largest city in the Roman & Byzantine periods, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 749 AD. Continue on to Ein Harod – Gideon Springs. The tour continues through the Jordan Valley past Jericho, believed to be the world’s oldest walled city. This was the first city taken by Joshua when the Hebrews returned from Egypt – ‘and the walls fell down’. It was also the site of the Mount of Temptation. (Mark 1:13). Drive to Jerusalem. Pass the traditional site of the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Enter the city of Jerusalem in the traditional way & view the city from Mt. Scopus. Dinner & overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.

After breakfast we’ll ascend the Mount of Olives (Matthew 24:3, Luke 21:37) for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday Way to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46, Luke 22:39-45, Mark 14:32- 42) where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested. Visit the Church of All the Nations. Walk along the “last way” to Mt. Zion. Cross the Kidron Valley & see the Tombs of Absalom, Zachary & James. At Mt. Zion visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas and the Church of Peter in Gallicantu (Matthew 26:31-35). This is the place where Peter denied the Lord three times. Continue on to The Last Supper Room (Matthew 26: 17 25) & King David’s Tomb. Today we will also visit the Pools of Bethesda, and St. Anne’s Church,  a fine example of Crusader architecture. Dinner & overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.

After breakfast depart from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and visit Masada. Ascend Masada by cable car. Masada is the site of the most dramatic act in Jewish History. Explore the ancient excavation of Herod’s palaces: the bathhouse, the storerooms, the ramp, and the oldest synagogue in the world. Continue to Ein Gedi, an oasis on the Dead Sea shore. Near the 200-meter-high waterfall is a cave where David had his famous meeting with King Saul (First Samuel 24: 1-23). A walk around the nature preserve confirms that Ein Gedi is one of the most beautiful reservations in the world. Visit Qumran, where the 2000-year-old Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue to the Dead Sea shore for an afternoon “float” on the sea. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner & overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.

After breakfast drive to Mt. Moriah. Walk up to the Temple site & view the Dome of the Rock & El Aqsa Mosque. Visit the Western Wall, last remnant of the second Jewish Temple during the time of Jesus and the Rabbinical Tunnel. Walk through the colorful Bazaar to the Jaffa Gate and the Davidson Center. We will then leave Jerusalem and drive to Bet Shemesh,  Zorah in the Soreck Valley and the Ella Valley where David fought Goliath. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner & overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.

Begin your day with a visit to the City of David and Warren Shaft. Then, drive to the western side of the city and visit the  famous Menorah (Israel symbol) near the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament). Continue to the Shrine of the Book and the Holy Land walk-around model of the city of Jerusalem as it was in the Second Temple period (the time of Jesus) at the Israel  Museum. Continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s National Holocaust Museum. We’ll end our visit in Jerusalem with a service at the Garden Tomb. Farewell Dinner. Overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.
