This Winter 2019 Experience Israel Tour & Honor the IDF led by Pastor Gary “Shepherd” Burd will take you to the most significant sites in the Holy Land. The tour is filled with amazing historical and biblical locations, you’ll experience such places as: Joppa, Caesarea, Megiddo, Bethlehem, Tiberias, Bet She’an, Jerusalem, Sderot, Capernaum, Ein Harod, Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, Western Wall, Garden Tomb, Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum and many more.

Winter 2019 Experience Israel Tour

DAY 1 – MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2019

USA / TEL AVIV

Depart on an overnight flight from USA to Tel-Aviv.


DAY 2 – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2019

ARRIVAL / JAFFA / ASHDOD

Upon arriving at Ben Gurion airport, a Coral Travel & Tours representative will greet and assist you. Meet your guide and drive to Jaffa. Jaffa, known in the bible as Joppa, is considered to be the world’s oldest port and the place where the prophet Jonah set sail for Tarshish. Jaffa is also associated with the deeds of Peter. It was here Tabitha was resurrected by St. Peter (Acts 9: 35-43). Enjoy a walking tour in the old city of Jaffa. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Ashdod.


DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2019

CAESAREA / MOUNT CARMEL / MEGIDDO / SEA OF GALILEE

After your Israeli breakfast and a short drive through Tel Aviv, travel via the Sharon plain to Caesarea. Caesarea was the seat of the Roman Procurator of the Judea in the time of Christ and the place St. Peter converted the centurion Cornelius (Acts 10:24). Explore the RomanTheater and the Aqueduct and view the ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader times. Continue to Mt. Carmel, to the “Mukhraka” the site where Elijah challenged and defeated the 450 prophets of Baal (King 18:20). Drive via the ancient “Way of the Sea” to Megiddo, the fortress city of King Solomon, later built upon by King Ahab. The books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we study about the final Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16: 14-19) while viewing the plains of Jezreel. Drive through Nazareth, the home of Joseph and Mary and through the city of Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle (John 2: 1-11): turning jars of water into wine. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tiberias.


DAY 4 – THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2019

SEA OF GALILEE / GOLAN HEIGHTS

The day starts with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. At Kibbutz Ginosar, visit the “Ancient Boat” believed to be from Jesus’ time. Continue to Tabgha where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves of bread and fish took place. Visit the ancient boat at Kibbutz Ginosar. Continue on to the Mt. of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Drive along the Hula Valley to Tel Dan and visit the remains of the city. For lunch, you will be able to sample the St. Peter fish (on your own). Continue to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made his confession of faith to Jesus. Via a ride through the Golan Heights we return to the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the area where Jesus spent his years of ministry. See the ruins of Capernaum, the town where Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient synagogue in which he may have preached and the house of Peter. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tiberias.


DAY 5 – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2019

BET SHE’AN / BET ALFA / GIDEON’S SPRING / JERUSALEM

After breakfast you will have an opportunity to be baptized at Yardenit. Then, leave the Sea of Galilee and drive to Bet She’an. Recent excavations there have disclosed the impressive ruins of the country’s largest city in the Roman and Byzantine periods, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 749 CE. Visit Ein Harod, the site of Judge Gideon (Judges 7: 1-25). The tour continues through the Jordan Valley past Jericho, believed to be the world’s oldest walled city. This was the first city taken by Joshua when the Hebrews returned from Egypt – ‘and the walls fell down’. It was also the site of the Mount of Temptation. (Mark 1:13). Drive to Jerusalem. Enter the city of Jerusalem in the traditional way and view the city from Mt. Scopus. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Bethlehem.


DAY 6 – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2019

MASADA / SDEROT

After an early breakfast depart Jerusalem and travel along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth to Masada. Ascend Masada by cable car. Masada is the site of the most dramatic act in Jewish history. Explore the ancient excavation of Herod’s Palaces, the bathhouse, the storerooms, the ramp and the oldest synagogue in the world. Continue to Sderot and visit a children’s bomb shelter to experience Israeli life. Give bandanas with “Soldiers Prayer – Psalm 91” in Hebrew and English to IDF soldiers along the way. Return to Jerusalem passing the traditional site of the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Bethlehem.


 DAY 7 – SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2019

JERUSALEM

After breakfast we’ll ascend the Mt. of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday way. Descend to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested. Visit the Church of All Nations. Drive along the “Last Way” to Mt. Zion. Cross the Kidron Valley and see the Tombs of Absalom, Zachary and James. Visit the City of David and Pool of Siloam. Continue on to the Last Supper Room and King David’s Tomb. End the day with a visit to the Rabbinical Tunnel. You will also visit the Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Bethlehem.


 DAY 8 – MONDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2019

JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM

The day starts with a visit to Mt. Moriah. Walk through the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall and experience a special communion and ceremony. Continue on to the Southern Wall excavation at the Davidson Center.  In the afternoon visit the Shepherds’ Field and the Church of Nativity at Bethlehem. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Bethlehem.


 DAY 9 – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2019

JERUSALEM

This morning drive to the western side of the city and visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. See the Menorah next to the Knesset building. Then, visit the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept in the Shrine of the Book and the Holy Land model of Jerusalem as it was in the Second Temple period (the time of Jesus).  You will also visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. This is the place where Peter denied his Lord three times.  End the day at the Garden Tomb. Farewell dinner. Overnight: Hotel in Bethlehem.


 DAY 10 – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2019

DEPARTURE ISRAEL / ARRIVAL USA

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA. Arrive the same day.

Deposits and Payments for Winter 2019 Experience Israel Tour

A deposit of $350.00 is required with each reservation to guarantee booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure. All checks should be made payable to Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd.

Tour Arrangements

Air –  Air arrangements are included in most group tours. Air is available to individual travelers upon request.

Land –  All packages including overnight hotel stays are quoted based upon double occupancy sharing a twin or double room with private facilities. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. does not arrange sharing for individual travelers. Single rooms are available at additional cost. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. reserves the right to substitute hotels based upon availability when necessary. Sightseeing and entrance fees are included as per itinerary. Individual passengers and passengers arriving independently from a scheduled group are responsible for their own transfers.

Not Included

Gratuities, airport taxes and transfers (unless specifically included in certain group tours), optional tours, charges for passports, vaccinations and inoculations, excess baggage charges, accident, trip cancellation and baggage insurance, telephone and cable charges, laundry, meals not specified in the itinerary, liquor, items of a personal nature and any items not specifically listed as included.

Cancellation Penalties

All cancellations must be in writing

  • Up to 100 days prior to departure date $75.00 cancellation fee
  • From 99-61 days prior to departure date $250.00 cancellation fee
  • From 60-46 days prior to departure date $350.00 cancellation fee
  • From 45 days prior to departure date and on – full cancellation fee (100%)

Passports/Visa

You will be required to provide Coral Travel & Tours with a copy of your passport with final payment. Please Note: The State of Israel requires that your passport have an expiration date not less than 6 months after your date of arrival in Israel. There is no visa requirement for citizens of the United States traveling to Israel. Other nationals should contact their consulate for visa information. For other destinations please contact Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. Coral Travel & Tours does NOT process visa applications. No inoculations are currently required for travel to Israel. Please contact public health authorities for further information or other destinations.

Fuel Surcharge

Please note fuel surcharges are set by the airline and Coral Travel & Tours has no control over nor receives advance notice of changes. Due to fluctuating global oil prices, the fee may change. The airline will only guarantee the fee at time of ticketing. If the airline imposes an increase, the difference will be the responsibility of each traveler and will be collected prior to departure.

Insurance Note

Travel Insurance is Highly recommended, See attached information. The Exclusion for Pre – Existing Condition will be waived i9f premium is received at the time of orwithin 14 days of the initial deposit/payment for the trip. Baggage

Suitcases: 1 per person, not to exceed 50 lbs. for 1 bag. Each can measure up to 62 linear inches (length + height + width). Carry On Luggage: 1 per person, not to exceed 11 lbs. Each can measure up to 45 linear inches (length + height + width).

Deviations

Any change in the basic program will result in the charge of $150 per change per person plus any additional charges that may apply for revised air or land arrangements.
