Drive by Independence Hall in Tel Aviv where the prophecy foretelling the recreation of Israel in one day was fulfilled (Isaiah 66). DAY 3 – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2018

PLAINS OF SHARON / MT. CARMEL / MT. PRECIPICE, NAZARETH / CAESAREA / TIBERIAS

Drive along the Plains of the Sharon and the Mediterranean Sea to the ancient city of Caesarea, the seat of the Roman Procurator of Judea at the time of the Christ, and the site where Peter converted the centurion Cornelius. This fortified harbor city was built 2000-years-ago by King Herod the Great. View the ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader times. Explore the Roman Theater and the Aqueducts. Ascend to the top of Mt. Carmel where Elijah challenged and defeated the prophets of Baal. Journey through the heartland of Israel to Mt. Precipice, where you will view the Jezreel Valley, Nazareth and the Valley of Armageddon. Stop for lunch at the Druze village.  On your way to Tiberias, pass Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle (John 2: 1-11): turning jars of water into wine (late check-in due to Sabbath). Dinner and overnight: Hotel near the Sea of Galilee..

DAY 4 – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 20118

MAGDALA / SEPPHORIS (TZIPPORI) / CAPERNAUM / MOUNT OF BEATITUDES / YARDENIT, JORDAN RIVER

Your first stop today will be at Migdal (Magdala), the home of Mary Magdalene. Visit the extraordinary archaeological find recently discovered during construction of a hotel – the village’s first century synagogue! As Jesus visited the synagogues all around Galilee, he was likely standing on the very stones at this site! Visit Sepphoris, an ancient city and its wealth of beautiful artifacts (over 60 mosaics!). Sepphoris was the site of the largest construction project in Israel in the first century. Because of its proximity to Nazareth, it is certainly possible that Joseph and Messiah, as carpenters, may have helped to build it. Return to the Sea of Galilee. At the northern shore walk the ancient city of Capernaum, the town where Messiah ministered and drew His disciples (Matthew 4:13). Visit the excavation of the House of the Apostle Peter and the Ancient Synagogue of Capernaum. For lunch, you will be able to experience the St. Peter fish (tilapia) from the Sea of Galilee. Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-12). End the day at the baptismal site Yardenit in a special baptism in the waters of the Jordan River (baptism optional). Dinner and overnight: Hotel near the Sea of Galilee.

DAY 5 – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2018

KIBBUTZ MISGAV AM / TEL DAN / CAESAREA PHILIPPI / GOLAN HEIGHTS / JESUS BOAT / CRUISE ON THE GALILEE / EVENING LECTURE

After breakfast, drive to Kibbutz Misgav Am (the northernmost kibbutz in Israel), stand on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, see the Hula Valley and the Good Fence. Then, drive north again to Tel Dan, an important biblical city and a breathtaking nature reserve. The bible mentions the city a few times: “From Dan to Beer Sheba,” indicating the full length of the kingdom of Israel. Continue to the Banias, site of the ancient Caesarea Philippi. It is here that Peter made his confession of faith in Jesus (Matthew 16:13). View the waterfall. Continue for a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from Mt. Bental in the strategically vital Golan Heights. Return to the Sea of Galilee to Kibbutz Ginosar, and study the ancient first century, wooden fishing-boat – the “Jesus Boat,” excavated from the mud floor of the lake and now on display in the museum dedicated to its preservation. At sundown, cruise the Sea of Galilee under the stars, worshiping the Lord in song – one of the most memorable evenings of your tour. Attend the lectures of Elizabeth and Joseph Farah. Dinner and overnight: Hotel near the Sea of Galilee.

DAY 6 – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2018

GIDEON’S SPRING / SODOM & GOMORRAH / PETRA

On arrival at King Hussein Bridge, you will be met by your guide(s) who will assist you with visa and passport formalities, and direct you to your buses. Drive 20km south of the King Hussein Bridge towards Tal El Hammam – the site of the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. These cities, according to the Old Testament, were destroyed by fire and brimstone. Sodom and Gomorrah were two of five cities referred to in scripture as the Cities of the Plain. From references to the “plain of the Jordan” (Gen. 13:10), “the Valley of Siddim (the Salt Sea)” (Gen. 14:3) and Abraham looking down to see the Cities of the Plain from the area of Hebron (Gen. 19:28). After the visit, we drive southeast to Mount Nebo. We visit the Franciscan Monastery at the location where the bible states Moses first glimpsed the Promised Land. Check some of the best-preserved mosaics inside the monastery. Continue the drive towards Wadi Mousa and the Nabatean city of Petra. Check into your hotel for dinner & overnight. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Petra.

DAY 7 – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2018

PETRA / JERUSALEM

After an early breakfast, begin the tour of the Red Rose City of Petra  –  Capital  of  the Nabateans. Petra was once an important stop on a Roman trading route, but was only assimilated into the Empire in 106 AD. Until then it had been a stronghold of the Nabataen Arab kingdom, whose knowledge of Greek architectural styles is reflected in their astonishing cliff-bound monuments. Today Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Approaching through the long, narrow chasm, or siq, you come face to face with the graceful columns of the magnificent Treasury, Petra’s most-photographed building. Like almost all structures here, it wasn’t built but rather carved out of the pink-hued rock, which means the interiors are usually modest in comparison with their grand facades. Further sights at ground level include an 8,000-seat amphitheater, numerous tombs and the triumphal arch of the Temenos Gateway. In the afternoon, get back on the bus and drive south to the border between Aqaba & Eilat to cross back into Israel. Dinner and Overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 8 – THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2018

THE HOLY CITY JERUSALEM

In the early morning, ascend the Temple Mount to stand on the actual ground where once stood the Holy Temple of God, the Outer Courts, the Court of the Priests, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies. Explore the ancient City of David, Jerusalem’s preeminent archeological site and source of breathtaking discoveries. For the first time, WND Tours offers time to explore the world-famous Machne Yehuda market (the shuk) – feel like a native Israeli as you walk the aisles of this huge local market: spices, nuts, seeds, baked goods, locally grown fruit and vegetables, wines, and Israeli wares. Sample the delicious cuisines: Israeli, Ethiopian, Arabic and more. Watch sesame seeds being ground by a mill into delicious Tahini, Israel’s beloved condiment. Tour the Israel Museum where you will be able to see firsthand the ancient biblical texts at the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are curated and preserved. View the tremendous scale model of the City of Jerusalem modeled to reflect the state of the city 2,000-years-ago.  Experience the solemnity of Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust Museum and Memorial. Dinner and Overnight:  Hotel  in  Jerusalem.

Night optional: You will take in Ben Yehuda Street, named after the man whose life-long passion was responsible for reviving the Hebrew language (fulfilling prophecy). This charming street, blocked from automobile traffic, is packed with quaint shops and restaurants, a perfect place to find gifts for your friends and family.

DAY 9 – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2018

JERUSALEM

The final two days of your pilgrimage will be spent in the walled city of Jerusalem, “the City of our God” (Ps. 48:1.8). Take part in a biblical adventure of discovery as you walk under the Temple Mount through the Rabbinical Tunnel. Stand by the actual Pool of Bethesda where Messiah healed the crippled man. Gather in charming St. Anne’s Church, the acoustics of which will make your heart soar while listening to and joining pilgrims from around the world who come to sing hymns in this 12th century church. Reflect on our Savior’s ordeal while standing on the very paving stones where Messiah was taken before Pilate. Walk the streets of the Old City and through the Ancient Cardo to the Jewish Quarter. Enjoy the privilege of bringing in the biblical Sabbath in Jerusalem with a special service on the actual Steps of the Temple where Messiah Himself walked. Experience the coming of the Sabbath at the Western Wall, the holiest site in the Jewish world, as observant Jews gather from all over to worship. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 10 – SATURDAY, NOVEMER 17, 2018

JERUSALEM / MOUNT OF OLIVES / GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE / DEPARTURE

This is your last morning in Eretz Yisra’el (land of Israel). You will start the day ascending the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City. You will also be able to view the wilderness, Lazarus and Bethany. Next, you will walk to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed and the disciples slept the night before His crucifixion. You will then visit the House of Caiaphas where Messiah was taken for trial. You will end your tour of Jerusalem in the most appropriate place, Calvary/Golgotha and the Empty Garden Tomb, where we will share in a special worship service. In the evening, we will come together for a special Farewell Dinner of celebration. Flight home: You will be taken to Ben Gurion Airport for your flight back or you will stay overnight and fly the next day.

DAY 11 – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2018
