DAY 1

USA / ISTANBUL

Overnight flight from USA to Istanbul.


DAY 2

ISTANBUL

Upon arrival to Istanbul transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a short orientation tour of Istanbul. Visit St. Sophia Church in the Old City. Welcome dinner served at the hotel.


DAY 3

ISTANBUL / ADANA /TARSUS

Morning flight from Istanbul to Adana. Upon arrival continue to Tarsus, which is the birthplace of St. Paul; walk on the same streets as St. Paul did in the 1st century A.D. Continue to modern Antakya which was the ancient Antioch on Orontes River. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Antioch before checking into the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Antakya.


DAY 4

ANTAKYA / LYSTRA / KONYA

In the morning drive to Sultanhan Caravanserai. Trade caravans stopped at Caravanserais in the 11th century to utilize the services. They were built almost every 10 miles which was the distance a caravan could cover in one day. Continue to Lystra where St. Paul and St. Barnabas were stoned. Learn about the political reasons why they were stoned at this location. Dinner and overnight in Konya.


DAY 5

KONYA / ANTAKYA / PISIDIA / PERGE / ATTALIA

Morning visit in the center of Konya. It was the location of ancient Iconium. The site remains to be excavated therefore we will only see the location and continue to Antioch Psidia. This town was about to become the 2nd capital of the Roman Empire in the East. The Emperor Augustus Sebastus decided to built a second capital after Roma to be able to control the vast lands of the empire. We will understand the motivation St. Paul and St. Barnabas had to convert this city. After lunch break we will continue to Perge and Attalia. Dinner and overnight in Attalia.


DAY 6

ATTALIA / MYRA / PAMUKKALE

The city of St. Nicholas is not far away from Attalia. With this trip we step out of St. Paul’s route to visit the Church of St. Nicholas in Myra. He was born in Patara and lived most of his life in Myra. As we visit the remains of the city where he walked and his church, we will take time to recall the local myths which are very similar to what we know about him today. After visiting Myra we will continue to Colossae to visit the mound of the city. The site of the city is unexcavated but we will have a chance to experience the location. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.


DAY 7

HIEROPOLIS / LAODICEA / PHILADELPHIA / SARDIS / IZMIR

Early in the morning we will have a short stop at Laodicea and Hierapolis. Exploring the locations of these two cities will give us greater insight and a better understanding of scriptures. Starting from today, we begin visiting the Seven Churches of the Revelation. After Laodicea, we will continue to Philadelphia and Sardis. Tonight stay near Ephesus at Pamucak beach. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.


DAY 8

EPHESUS (KUSADASI)

Today we spend the biggest part of the day exploring the Ephesus ruins. Besides the regular route people take within the ruins we will also be able to visit St. Mary Church where the 3rd Ecumenical Council unified in Ephesus in 431 AD. We will also visit the location for the Temple of Diana which was considered to be one of the wonders of the ancient world. In the afternoon, visit local rug manufacturers near Pamucak. This will be one of the good places for shopping. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.


DAY 9

PERGAMON / CANAKKALE

Morning stop at the ancient city of Pergamon which was one of the cities of The Revelation. We will visit the acropolis to understand the life of the people in Pergamon and the location known as the Altar of Zeus. In the afternoon continue to Troy, and drive through the lands of Alexandria Troas on our way to Canakkale. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale.


DAY 10

TROY / ISTANBUL

Continue North to Istanbul. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing in Istanbul. Visit the Archaeological Museum. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.


DAY 11

ISTANBUL / DEPARTURE

Transfer to Istanbul Airport for departure.

Deposits and Payments

A $350.00 deposit is required with each reservation form to guarantee booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure. All checks should be made payable to Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd.

Tour Arrangements

Air –  Air Arrangements are included in most group tours. Air is available to individual travelers upon request.

Land  All packages including overnight hotel stays are quoted based upon double occupancy sharing a twin or double room with private facilities. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. does not arrange sharing for individual travelers. Single rooms are available at additional cost. Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. reserves the right to substitute hotels based upon availability when necessary. Sightseeing and entrance fees are included as per itinerary. Individual passengers and passengers arriving independently from a scheduled group are responsible for their own transfers.

Not Included

Gratuities, airport taxes and transfers (unless specifically included in certain group tours), optional tours, charges for passports, vaccinations and inoculations, excess baggage charges, accident, trip cancellation and baggage insurance, telephone and cable charges, laundry, meals not specified in the itinerary, liquor, items of a personal nature and any items not specifically listed as included.

Cancellation Penalties

All cancellations must be in writing

  • Up to 100 days prior to departure date $75.00 cancellation fee
  • From 99-61 days prior to departure date $250.00 cancellation fee
  • From 60-46 days prior to departure date $350.00 cancellation fee
  • From 45 days prior to departure date and on – full cancellation fee (100%)

Passports/Visa

You will be required to provide Coral Travel & Tours with a copy of your passport with final payment. Please Note: The State of Israel requires that your passport have an expiration date not less than 6 months after your date of arrival in Israel. There is no visa requirement for citizens of the United States traveling to Israel. Other nationals should contact their consulate for visa information. For other destinations please contact Coral Travel & Tours, Ltd. Coral Travel & Tours does NOT process visa applications. No inoculations are currently required for travel to Israel. Please contact public health authorities for further information or other destinations.

Fuel Surcharge

Please note fuel surcharges are set by the airline and Coral Travel & Tours has no control over nor receives advance notice of changes. Due to fluctuating global oil prices, the fee may change. The airline will only guarantee the fee at time of ticketing. If the airline imposes an increase, the difference will be the responsibility of each traveler and will be collected prior to departure.

Insurance Note

Travel Insurance is Highly recommended, See attached information. The Exclusion for Pre – Existing Condition will be waived i9f premium is received at the time of orwithin 14 days of the initial deposit/payment for the trip. Baggage

Suitcases: 1 per person, not to exceed 50 lbs. for 1 bag. Each can measure up to 62 linear inches (length + height + width). Carry On Luggage: 1 per person, not to exceed 11 lbs. Each can measure up to 45 linear inches (length + height + width).

Deviations

Any change in the basic program will result in the charge of $150 per change per person plus any additional charges that may apply for revised air or land arrangements.

In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for any reason whatsoever to alter the arrangements of the itinerary, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operators. The right is reserved to accept or refuse any person as a member of the tour.
